Beat the elements and give your mower added protection with the John Deere Mower Seat Cover.

For the purpose of this article, we will be referring to the cover made for a John Deere X354 Mower with an 18-inch-high seat back. These seat covers are made in a variety of sizes for all John Deere mower models. So make sure to pay attention to the sizing and model numbers on the box when purchasing.

Cover features:

  • Prominent John Deere logos
  • Padded seating
  • Ventilation flap
  • Multiple storage pockets
  • Elastic band for gripping seat
  • Weather resistant material

Why it’s essential

While it’s always best to store any John Deere machine indoors, we know that’s not always possible. That’s why we recommend adding attachments to your collection that will help you to better care for and protect your machines.

As mower seats are often the first things to show signs of damage, attachments like this Mower Seat Cover will help protect your mower seat from things like weather, animals, and even general wear-and-tear from riding.

The weather-resistant material will keep dirt and water from harming the leather, and the air vent will allow water to easily drain out preventing things like mildew from setting in and damaging the material. You even have the added benefit of extra padding in the seat for more comfort while riding.

We would also recommend looking into a full Mower Cover for your machine as well to provide even more protection to your machine.

How to install the cover

Beginning at the back of the seat, slide the cover down over the seat back until fully covered. Once you reach the base of the seat, pull the front of the cover forward and down over the rest of the seat making sure the elastic band is tucked under all edges and securely holding the cover in place, like shown.

Now push down on the cover, like shown here, to release any built-up air from the vent.

And that’s it! Installation was a breeze, and now you can enjoy a more comfortable and well-protected mower seat year-round.
